communication is derived from latin word communicare or communes which means to share or to make common.
communication is simply defined as the transfer of information from one place to another place communication is cyclic and unending process.
communication is perceive in nature, communication is two way process the smallest sending the information is not sufficient in itself getting the feedback from the receiver is equally important.
how it is so important?
Effective communication build strong business and personal relationship because you learn to understand what people want and how to give it to them as people feel listen to understand by you naturally improve your work environment.
what is the purpose

5 - inform : if no one inform us, then we will not even know anything. for eg : the night of 24 march 2020, we were informed that there will be a lockdown form 25 march to 14 April for 21 days, if we are not informed then we will not know.
6 - inquiry : when we need some informed related to the exam then we go to the exam department to inquiry.
What is grooming in communication? Why grooming is important?

grooming is all about your overall behavior and how you carry and conduct yourself in public. good communication skills and a warm personality always help and dressings sense, hair etc.

grooming is enhances beauty, health, and hygiene and its helps to maintain a healthy coat and skin, its boost your confidence.
eg : if i go to the job wearing track pants and teshirt then I will feel a little uncomfortable and everyone else will look different because the rule of interview is to wear formal clothes.

advantages of oral communication :
1 - time saving : where rapid action is necessary, in that case, it is the best way to send a message orally. On the other handwritten communication takes a long time to reach the sender.
2 - quick feedback
another primary advantage is that it provides quick feedback in the form of oral messages or information. Thus sender or speaker can take further decisions.
3- motivation
In oral communication, superiors and subordinates can sit face to face and exchange their views directly, such an arrangement motivates and inspires the employees to work with great care.
4- flexibility
oral communication enjoys the benefits of flexibility. Any communication if written cannot be changed quickly and if the message is already sent then it is out of the control of the sender.
5- effective for illiterate persons
Illiterate people cannot read but they can hear and understand any information or message. So, this is the most appropriate means of communication for illiterate people.
disadvantage of oral :-
1 - no record
in oral communication, messages are not preserved and hence they are not found in the record book. These messages cannot be retrieved in the future.
2- lack of accuracy
there is every possibility of an inaccurate message to reach the destination. It may be because of noise or the receiver forgets part or whole message.
3- misunderstanding
due to the limitations of human memory, oral messages cannot be kept in mind in full context. Because of inattentiveness in hearing the oral messages, the communication will be barred.
4 - no legal validity
Oral messages have any legal validity. As oral messages are not kept in record, so it can be denied easily by the speaker if the situation goes against him.
5 - expensive
to transmit oral messages at a distant place, we need to use the telephone, radio, television, etc. Such things are costly mechanical devices.

1- permanent record
this is another most important facility for written communication. Every kind of written communication document is a permanent record.
2- easy to preserve: The documents of written communication are easy to preserve. Oral and non-verbal communication cannot be preserved. If it is needed, important information can be collected from the preserved documents.
3- use as a reference: If it is needed, written communication can be used as future reference.
4 - Accurate presentation: Through the documents of the written communication top executive can present the information more accurately and clearly.
5 - Prevention of wastage of time and money: Written communication prevents the waste of money and time. Without meeting with each other the communicator and communicate can exchange their views.
6- Proper information: It is a proper and complete communication system. There is no opportunity to include any unnecessary information in a written document.
disadvantage.
1 - Time consuming: Written communication takes time to communicate with others. It is a time consuming media. It costs the valuable time of both the writer and the reader.
2 - Difficult to maintain secrecy: It is an unexpected medium to keep business secrecy. Secrecy is not always possible to maintain through written communication.
3 - delay in response: It takes much time to get a response from the message receiver, prompt response is not possible in case of written communication that is possible in oral communication.
4- delay in decision making: Written communication takes much time to communicate with all the parties concerned. So the decision maker cannot take decisions quickly.
5 - lack of flexibility: Since writing documents cannot be changed easily at any time. Lack of flexibility is one of the most important limitations of written communication.
